The rumor on the street is still that buyers can steal homes but they are finding out something different when the offers are placed. Yes its true some sellers are taking offers that were consider silly a couple of years ago yet the homes that are in great condition, priced competitively and in good locations are still selling fairly quickly. I sold a home in Harvey Oaks for $2,000 above asking price in March. The key to that offer was the fact that we priced it at or a little below market value, removed all the wallpaper, repainted and had the home ready to go! We had three offers in the first week and the sellers are super happy. The buyers are really happy too!
